Two homes sustained extensive damage during an early-morning fire in Airdrie Monday.
Fire crews were called to the fire at 1144 Williamstown Blvd. N.W. at around 4:40 a.m.
When they arrived on scene, firefighters found two neighbouring homes consumed by flames. Heavy smoke was billowing from the homes.
Everyone inside the homes had already made their way outside where they were assessed by paramedics.
A third home in the area was evacuated, however, it was not damaged in the blaze and the residents have since returned home.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation. At this point, fire crews do not have a damage estimate.
No injuries were reported.
