Eight teenagers were taken to hospital with varying injuries after a pickup truck rolled over in the Ellison area of Kelowna just after 8 p.m. Saturday.
The driver had seven passengers in his pickup, six were riding in the bed of the truck.
RCMP say the driver ‘failed to properly negotiate a curve’ causing the truck to flip on its roof.
RCMP said driver inexperience may have played a role in the accident, and that drugs and alcohol are not believe to be factors in the crash.
Police are still investigating but no charges have been laid at this time.
