3 missing Kenora children found after not returning home from school

Kenora police are looking for three missing girls who were last seen Wednesday leaving school. OPP

UPDATE: All three children have been found by the Ontario Provincial Police.

Kenora police are asking the public for help in finding three missing children who did not return home after school.

On Wednesday just before 4 p.m. the Kenora police were notified that the girls aged 11, 9, and 8 were missing.

The three girls left Valleyview School in Kenora, Ont., together, police said. It’s believed they entered the wooded area behind the school, police said.

A K9 unit from Thunder Bay, Ont., is enroute to help with the search.

Members of the Kenora OPP, the OPP Northwest Region Emergency Response Team, school staff, family and community members are searching the area for the girls and are asking the public for assistance.

The children are described as:

Lacey Skead, 11: She was last seen wearing grey pants, a purple hoodie, white high top shoes with white socks with green and pink stripes. She has dark hair, which was in a pony tail-and wears glasses. She has a slim build and is average height. She is also likely carrying a backpack.

Carridee Petiquan, 9: Has short dark hair, was last seen wearing denim pants and a purple hoodie. She is slim and average height

Carlee Swain, 8: Has dark hair and was last seen wearing a black and orange skirt. She is slim and average height.
