‘We need her home’: Mother of missing Manitoba woman, Christine Wood makes tearful plea

WATCH: Christine Wood's family makes an emotional plea to the public Tuesday, asking anyone with information on the 21-year-old's disappearance to come forward.

WINNIPEG — It’s been more than two weeks since 21-year-old Christine Wood went missing in Winnipeg. On Tuesday her family made an emotional plea to the public to help find their daughter.

“Christine if you can hear me, please come home,” said her mother, Melinda, who broke out into tears. “If you can hear me, please call me… I beg you, please come home.”

Christine was in Winnipeg with her parents from Oxford House First Nation to accompany a family member to a medical appointment. She never came back to her hotel in downtown Winnipeg after going out for the night on Aug. 19.

“If anybody has any information or knows whereabouts she is, or any little thing…please, help us. We need to know where she is,” George Wood said.
