A 53-year-old man has been hospitalized after being struck by an SUV near Delmas, Sask., on Monday afternoon.
RCMP said the eastbound SUV on Highway 16 struck the man standing by a motorcycle, which was stopped on the shoulder of an approach.
He sustained injuries to his legs and torso and was taken to Battleford Union Hospital. The man was transferred to Saskatoon’s Royal University Hospital where he remains in stable but serious condition.

The motorcycle was also hit.
The woman driving the SUV was also taken to hospital with an injured arm.
RCMP said alcohol was not a factor in the crash and road conditions were believed to be normal at the time of the crash.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
