N.B. Climate Change Committee to hold public hearings this month

Global NewsThe government of New Brunswick’s committee on climate change is holding a series of public hearings across the province starting on August 26.
The meetings start in Perth Andover and wrap in Fredericton on September 9.

Last month, expert presenters shared their thoughts with the committee which is made up of MLAs from all parties in the legislature.
The committee will compile their findings from the hearings in a report which is expected to be tabled in the fall.
Premier Brian Gallant will then take the report to the first minister’s meeting in October.
Here is a full list of when and where you can take in the public hearings:
- Aug. 26 – Perth-Andover, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Royal Canadian Legion, 44 Legion St.
- Aug. 29 – Atholville, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Alma Hall, 256 Notre-Dame St.
- Aug. 29 – Shippagan, 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Centre des congrès de la Péninsule acadienne, 106A de l’Aquarium St.
- Aug. 30 – Moncton, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Delta Beausejour, 750 Main St.
- Aug. 31 – Sackville, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Motyer-Fancy Theatre, Purdy Crawford Centre for the Arts, 152 Main St.
- Sept. 1 – Fredericton, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., legislative assembly, 706 Queen St.
- Sept. 2 – Fredericton, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., legislative assembly, 706 Queen St.
- Sept. 6 – Saint John, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Delta Brunswick, 39 King St.
- Sept. 7 – Saint John, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Delta Brunswick, 39 King St.
