The Edmonton International Airport said its flights weren’t impacted by the unspecified systems issues that temporarily grounded and stopped flights around the world Monday morning.
Confirmation of Monday’s troubles came in an official account that responds to customers via Twitter. According to the airline, large-scale cancellations are expected on all of its flights worldwide as crews work to fix the issue.
Travellers in the United States and Europe were affected by the computer outage.

The EIA said even the backlog caused by worldwide cancellations and delays would not impact its flights.
However, the airport recommended travellers flying Delta go online before heading to the airport to make sure there were no delays or cancellations.
The airline warned that despite service slowly resuming, passengers should still expect delays and cancellations.
