A robber walked away empty handed after trying to rob a Vernon convenience store.
RCMP say the attempted armed robbery happened at the Lakeview Market on 32nd Avenue late Tuesday night.
They say the robber showed the clerk a gun but the clerk took off.
“The frightened clerk who speaks little English immediately walked away from the male who then fled the store without obtaining anything,” said Corporal Dan Moskaluk.
A search of the area failed to find the suspect who is described as caucasian, six feet tall with brown hair.
