It could be an interesting afternoon weatherwise in the Okanagan.
Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Central, North and South Okanagan shortly after 5 a.m. today.
It says thunderstorms are expected to develop across the Southern Interior today and there’s potential for the storms to become severe.
Environment Canada says there’s the possibility of hail and strong wind gusts.
Today’s forecasted high for the Kelowna area is 33.
There’s also the potential for thunderstorms in Wednesday’s forecast.
Last week, a severe thunderstorm moved through the Central Okanagan resulting in some spectacular photos from Global Okanagan Newshawks.
