SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Police in New Brunswick have ruled the death of a 44-year-old woman a homicide following an autopsy.
The woman was found in the backyard of a building in Saint John at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Saint John police force says it is not releasing the woman’s cause of death or her identity as an investigation continues.
They say a tenant called 911 after finding the unresponsive woman in the backyard on Melrose Street.
Police say the caller identified the woman as a resident of the building.
