WINNIPEG — Two women were saved from a burning building in the 400 block of Lansdowne Avenue early Tuesday.
At approximately 1:50 a.m. emergency crews responded to the home after hearing reports of a fire.

Police officers from the District 3 Patrol and members of the Canine Unit were first on scene. The building was engulfed in flames when they arrived.
Two females were still trapped inside on the second floor. The officers located a ladder and helped the two out of the burning building from a second floor window.
Fire crews arrived shortly afterwards and extinguished the fire. The cause is still under investigation.
