Dozens of people were forced from a downtown Calgary apartment building on Monday after a fire broke out.
Firefighters were called to the 700 block of 6 Avenue S.W. at around 12:30 a.m.
Calgary Fire Department Battalion Chief Al Magwood said the fire was discovered in a laundry room on the 6th floor of the building.
Crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, which was contained to the laundry room.
Residents were allowed back in the building a few hours later.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
