The only region not feeling much of the heat will be Churchill where temperatures will hover in the low teens through to Sunday.

With the heat and humidity through the south that means the threat of thunderstorms returns once again, with the probability of them becoming severe in nature.

Environment Canada says severe thunderstorm watches are possible this afternoon in parts of southwestern Manitoba. Conditions could deteriorate and area residents could see heavy rain, hail and high winds.

That storm activity will trek east, meaning we could see action tonight and into Saturday morning.
