Best fruit in season this summer

When it comes to fresh fruit and vegetables, there’s nothing better than taking advantage of what’s in season.

Foodland Ontario offers a handy chart to help you figure out which foods are best to eat at any given time of the year.

Of course, when it comes to summer, the possibilities are endless.

For cherries, peaches and apricots, the season gets under way in late June and hits its peak in July and August, along with many of your other favourites.

So what’s ripe and ready right now?

Foodland Ontario’s Judy Scott Welden says there’s no better time to enjoy rhubarb and strawberries.
