North Vancouver duplex fire forces 6 people out of home

WATCH: A frightening morning for people living in a North Vancouver duplex. Fire suddenly broke out in the building early this morning — forcing nearly a dozen people into the street. Kristen Robinson reports.

An early morning fire in North Vancouver Sunday left six people looking for a place to live.

The fire started at 2 a.m. at a duplex on 3rd Street and St Georges Avenue.

Firefighters battled the blaze for two hours before bringing it under control.

Two neighbouring properties were evacuated because of concerns the fire could spread, but none were damaged.

Authorities are not sure what sparked the blaze.
