KELOWNA — The smell of raw sewage wafted through downtown Kelowna Monday following a two vehicle crash.
Police say a transit bus and a truck carrying porta potties collided on Harvey Avenue near Richter Street.
The say the bus was pulling out into the HOV lane after picking up some passengers before colliding the truck.
The collision ruptured a holding tank on the truck, sending approximately 200 litres of raw sewage onto the road.
Some of the spill went down a nearby drain and police say it should not pose a risk to the environment.
There were no injuries.
