O.J. Simpson will confess someday to the horrific murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, says Simpson’s old friend Ron Shipp.

In an interview with the New York Daily News, Shipp, an ex-police officer who testified at Simpson’s 1995 murder trial, says Simpson is rotting away in jail on an armed robbery conviction, and one day he’s going to have to confess if he hopes to have inner peace.

“The guy is in total torment today,” Shipp said. “Someone told me he is 300 pounds and he looks horrible. O.J. has always felt his appearance meant everything and now, deep down inside, he is starting to live with himself.”

“I hope one day he actually will rid us of all the doubt and all the conspiracy theories and say, ‘Sorry I cannot go to prison (because of double jeopardy laws), but I am sorry I did it,” continued Shipp.

“I do [believe he will confess one day],” he said. “I got a call about a conspiracy theory about Jason (Simpson’s son) being the killer and I thought, man, come on Juice, just say ‘My son didn’t do it.'”

Shipp is referring to the theory that Simpson’s son actually murdered Brown and Goldman, which holds weight with amateur investigators; apparently the younger Simpson was off his anti-psychotic medications at the time of the murder and has a history of assault with weapons.

During the 1995 trial, Shipp had mixed feelings about Simpson’s guilt, but he admits he “should have known” he was guilty of the crimes.

“I didn’t really see him at the time doing that because of my love for him. I didn’t want to believe the things I saw.”

According to Shipp, before Brown and Goldman were murdered, Simpson revealed to him that he had dreamed of killing his wife. He stated that at the trial, raising doubts about Simpson’s innocence. The two men have been friends for 26 years.
