One home is destroyed and two others have damage after a large fire in a Langley neighbourhood this afternoon.
It happened at 196A Street and 53 Avenue around noon. The fire started in the garage of one home, witnesses told Global News, but quickly spread.
“One home is completely lost. It’s burned right down to the frame…it’s a major loss,” said Langley Dputy Fire Chief Kelly Gilday, who said 29 firefighters attended to the blaze.
“The second house suffered some major damage to the rear and the ceiling area, and the interior on the second floor.”
A third house suffered smoke damage. Crews are still determining the cause of the fire, and there are no reports of any injuries.
