3 men charged in alleged abduction of 74-year-old Orillia man

ORILLIA, Ont. – Ontario Provincial Police say three men are facing charges related to an alleged abduction earlier this month.

Orillia OPP say a 74-year-old man was visited in his home by four people who assaulted him and demanded money.

Police say two of the men then put the victim into a white motorhome and drove away with him, while the other two suspects got into another motorhome with a red canoe on the roof.

They say the victim managed to escape at a gas station in Ramara Township.

Police say they have arrested three of the four suspects and found one of the motorhomes, adding the vehicle with the canoe on the roof is still at large.

The three men, identified as 56-year-old Kevin Cadot of Pickering, 25-year-old Kyle Inglis of Pickering and 44-year-old Aaron Wilson of Scarborough are each facing five charges including assault with a weapon and kidnapping.
