HALIBURTON, Ont. – Provincial police have found human remains while searching for a Bowmanville, Ont., man who has been missing since October 2015.

Police say they haven’t yet identified the remains.

They say they started searching an area north of Haliburton, Ont., on Tuesday, and found the remains on Friday.

They were looking for David Palmer, 47, who was last seen on Oct. 2, 2015.

The brown Honda Accord he was driving turned up near Haliburton, Ont., on Oct. 14, but police say they have not found any other trace of him since including his wallet or cellphone.

Police say they think Palmer’s disappearance was a result of foul play.
