LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Primetime Emmy nominations for best actress in a television drama series have been announced in Los Angeles by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The nominees announced Thursday morning are: Glenn Close, “Damages”; Michelle Dockery, “Downton Abbey”; Julianna Margulies, “The Good Wife”; Kathy Bates, “Harry’s Law”; Claire Danes, “Homeland”; and Elisabeth Moss, “Mad Men.”
The 64th annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be presented Sept. 23 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and airing live on ABC.
