Target to open two Saskatoon stores in summer 2013

It’s official – Target has officially confirmed the location of two stores in Saskatoon.

Starting in the summer of 2013, shoppers will be able to stroll the aisles of Target at The Mall at Lawson Heights and The Centre at Circle and Eighth.

The current Zellers stores at those locations will be closing shortly for a period of six to nine months for renovations.

At least $10-million will be spent remodeling each location.

The company is planning to open 125 stores in Canada next year and will be announcing more locations later this year for locations that will be opening in 2014.

“Construction has already begun on our first set of stores and we are excited to see the transformation as the Target brand comes to life in Canada,” said Tony Fisher, president of Target Canada.
