KELOWNA – Two vacated big box locations in Kelowna are getting a new lease on life as new retailers open up shop this week.
Outdoor equipment retailer Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) has taken over the former Future Shop location at Orchard Plaza.
Now the vacated space is back in business, MEC plans to hold its grand opening on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Lee Valley and Steve Nash Fitness World have moved into the former Target location in the same plaza.
Target announced it would close all of its Canadian stores in January of 2015.
Lee Valley, which sells home and garden projects as well as hardware supplies, is set to open Friday.
Steve Nash Fitness World is already operating.
