Frustration is growing for the North Shore Rescue Team after having to save yet another group of unprepared hikers.
The ski and snowboard season is wrapping up and it has been a frustrating few months for North Shore crews.
They have dealt with several calls from unprepared hikers, including this group that were rescued on Sunday.
The trio were walking to Coliseum Mountain in Lynn Valley, which is a 24-kilometre round trip, when they ran into trouble.
Two of the hikers were OK, but the third was treated for dehydration.
“This is classic,” said Jeff Yarnold, North Shore Rescue search manager. “You get a gorgeous, hot sunny day in the city and you got three guys coming out, inexperienced, not sure where they’re going entirely, they’re on closed trails, and they’re just completely ill-prepared.”
