Police look for witnesses of Whyte Avenue hit-and-run

EDMONTON – Police are looking for witnesses of a hit-and-run on Whyte Avenue that sent a pedestrian to hospital.

At around 1 a.m. on March 9, an 18-year-old woman was hit by a white Ford Escape while she was walking in the middle of Whyte Avenue near 106 Street, police said.

The woman taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle left the scene fled, but police believe a 29-year-old man was driving the Ford Escape and a passenger, who hasn’t been identified, was with him.

Police are asking the passenger and other witnesses to come forward.
