UPDATE: Suspect wanted in Scarborough hit-and-run turns himself in
TORONTO — Police have tweeted a photo identifying the driver sought in Thursday’s fatal collision investigation.
Toronto police have named Saeed Moravvej Torbati, 25, as the suspect in the hit-and-run around 9:46 p.m. near Markham Road and Nashdene Road in Scarborough.

Police also released a photo and licence plate of the suspect’s vehicle that is believed to have been involved in the collision that killed a 56-year-old woman.
Investigators are looking for the driver of a 2012 black Mercedes Benz CLS 550 with the Ontario licence plate, BYVK 272.
Police said the male driver stopped shortly after the collision. He exited the vehicle before getting in again and fleeing the scene.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
