CALGARY – Police have two suspects in custody following a fatal shooting in the community of Marlborough on Tuesday.

Officers were called to the 4600 block of Maryvale Drive N.E. at around 6:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting.

When they arrived, police found a man in his 20s dead at the scene.

Witnesses described hearing three or four shots fired.

“I was actually in my bedroom and I heard a big bang,” said one neighbour who didn’t wish to be identified. “My roommates came in the house and said they heard four gunshots.”

“It’s really concerning… especially having a child, having it happen in front of an elementary school during daylight.”
