Manitoba Election 2016: Assiniboia riding

Summary:  With longtime NDP MLA Jim Rondeau not seeking re-election, voters in Assiniboia will elect a rookie MLA on April 19. This area is considered a riding in play.

Boundaries: Assiniboia is located on the western tip of Winnipeg, north of Portage and Ness Avenues. The riding is bordered by Britain Boulevard on the east, and Headingley to the west.

Rondeau took over with the NDP banner in 1999 with a very small margin.
