Man, 25, dies in ‘fully engulfed’ Picton, Ont. house fire, three others escape

PICTON, Ont. – Police say a 25-year-old man died in a house fire in Prince Edward County Saturday morning.

The OPP say an on-duty police officer came across a “fully engulfed” house fire in Picton.

Three people in the house made it out safely, and were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.

A fourth person was found dead.

A post-mortem has been scheduled for Monday.

The Fire Marshal and police are investigating the blaze.
