WINNIPEG — Two separate assault incidents took place in downtown Winnipeg overnight.
One man has been taken to hospital in stable condition after an assault that happened early Thursday morning on the corner of Ellice Avenue and Kennedy Street.

It happened just before 4 a.m. Police say one man was assaulted by two other men. The two that made the assault have been arrested.
The other incident took place outside the Marlborough Hotel. Police say a fight broke out just before 10 p.m. Officers are treating this investigation as an assault case.
