Four people are facing charges in connection with violent crimes that took place in Calgary last year, including a serious slashing, a kidnapping and a shooting. Police believe the three incidents were all motivated by drug activity.
Police said a man was standing at the northwest corner of Macleod Trail and 7 Avenue S.E. at about 1 p.m. on Oct. 28, 2015, when an unknown man approached him. The man asked the victim if he was selling drugs, the victim said no, and the man allegedly slashed the victim across the face with a knife before running away.
