EDMONTON – Surgeries at the Red Deer Regional Hospital have been postponed after flooding at the facility.
Four of nine operating rooms were closed Tuesday because of water damage. It caused some surgeries to be postponed, although urgent and emergency surgeries weren’t delayed, Alberta Health Services said.

The flooding was caused by construction taking place at the hospital. Clean up and restoration is underway.
Operating rooms won’t be reopened until it is safe to do so, AHS said.
