Mounties were called to the scene on Highway 1 just after 11 a.m. just east of Caronport after an eastbound car left the highway and crossed the meridian, rolling several times.

The driver, a 28-year-old Regina man, was ejected from the car and suffered life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to Moose Jaw Hospital and then airlifted by STARS to Regina General Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

His name has not been released.

The cause of the rollover is still under investigation and Mounties believe the victim was not wearing a seatbelt.
