MONTREAL – Firefighters were called to a suspicious fire in Saint-Leonard Monday morning.
It happened at 4:40 a.m. on Bélanger Street, near Choisy Street.
“An inflammable object was thrown in the window of a commerce,” explained Jean-Pierre Brabant with Montreal police.
Firefighters quickly controlled the blaze; there was minor damage to the building.
“Officers will meet with the owner of the building to try and check if there are any cameras that can give footage,” said Brabant.
The case has been transferred to the Montreal arson squad.
So far, there is no description of the suspect.
