KELOWNA — Kelowna RCMP have released more information about a brazen daytime shooting that happened at a 7-Eleven on Monday.
Police say the two men, who were arrested and believed to be associated with the attack, have now been released from police custody without conditions.

RCMP say the men are not directly involved with the shooting, but do have some sort of connection to the incident overall.
“The Kelowna RCMP strongly believe that this was not a random attack, and that public safety is not at risk,” says Constable Jesse O’Donaghey. “We have reason to believe that the incident was related to drugs, and that the suspect and victim were known to each other.”
Police say the victim, a 46-year-old Kelowna man, has since been released from hospital and continues to be uncooperative with the investigation.
Witnesses are asked to contact Constable Kevin Hamilton with the Kelowna RCMP or leave an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers (1-800-222-8477).
