NEGRIL, Jamaica – An Ottawa-area man has died in Jamaica after he was struck by a motorcycle in an alleged hit-and-run.
John Rowsom is from Clayton, Ont., a rural town about 40 minutes west of Ottawa, and was on vacation with his wife in Negril when he was struck and killed.

Negril police say the 76-year-old was crossing the road on Thursday, when he was hit by the motorcycle.
Police say the driver fled the scene.
