Health Minister Victor Boudreau, who is responsible for the review, says the changes would not include employees of health authorities or school boards.

He is expected to provide an update on the cost-cutting program review Tuesday.

There are more than 9,000 people in the public service, which includes government departments but not health authority or school board employees.

Boudreau says the government has already reduced the number of deputy ministers by 30 per cent and cut the pay of the premier and cabinet.
