Déjà vu: Horvat scores two as Vancouver Canucks beat Hurricanes 3-2

For the second time in ten days, Bo Horvat scored two goals – including the game-winner – to give the Vancouver Canucks a 3-2 overtime victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.

The sophomore centre gave Vancouver the win 3:25 into overtime with his eight goal of the season.

Horvat also scored 9:32 into the second period to give Vancouver a 2-1 lead.

Horvat, who only had two goals in his first 39 games of the season, has six goals in his last six games. Linden Vey opened the scoring for Vancouver at 13:14 of the first period with his first goal of the season.

Vancouver is now 18-17-10 on the season, fourth in the Pacific Division. Carolina is 20-18-8, fourth in the Metropolitan Division.

Jacob Markstrom made 38 saves for Vancouver, while Cam Ward made 19 saves for Carolina.
