Chilliwack RCMP are investigating after a fetus was found in the toilet of a Tim Hortons washroom this weekend.
It was found at the chain’s Eagle Landing location, just off Evans Road, at approximately 12:30 p.m. on January 9.
According to a friend of one of the employees, a customer discovered the fetus when they entered the washroom.
Staff at the Tim Hortons quickly called the RCMP, but were unable to identify any suspect on scene.
It’s unknown at this time how long the fetus was in the toilet or what stage of gestation it was at.
The BC Coroners Service said the incident was reported to them on Saturday, and that an investigation is ongoing.
Chilliwack RCMP also confirmed that a fetus was found, but were unable to provide any more details. They did, however, say more information will be forthcoming on Monday.
