OSOYOOS — After having his disciplinary hearing rescheduled three times, a former Osoyoos police officer is scheduled to attend his hearing this March.

Cst. Amit Goyal has been suspended with pay since June 2013.

He was initially scheduled to attend a code of conduct hearing on July 28, 2015 but it was postponed until August 31, 2015. Then that hearing was suddenly adjourned.

A media spokesperson for the RCMP’s “E” division did not provide a reason for the adjournments.

“It is heartbreaking to know that [Goyal]’s getting away with it instead of having justice done,” said Stephen Condon in a previous interview.

Condon is a former Osoyoos resident who alleges he was harassed by the suspended police officer on multiple occasions.

He claims Goyal framed him for stealing and burning two vehicles in 2012, and as a result, he was falsely arrested. The allegations have not been proven in court.

Goyal will be appearing in a Vancouver court on March 8.
