FREDERICTON – Firefighters were called to a home just off the Woodstock Road on Thursday morning, after a fire broke out engulfing the house.
Smoke was seen billowing up over the trees as the flames ripped through the small home.
12 firefighters were called to the house to fight the fire, which they believe started in the basement.
The platoon captain said normally in cases like these, they would have to truck water to the scene, but luckily there is a hydrant close to the home along the city’s trail which helped their efforts.
