RCMP lay murder charges, issue warrants for pair after deadly Moncton fire

Two more people have been charged with first-degree murder after a house fire in Moncton that left one man dead.

Police have issued arrest warrants for Marissa Shephard, 20, and Tyler Noel, 18 in connection with the death of 18-year-old Baylee Wylie.

Firefighters found Wyle’s body after extinguishing a fire at a home on Sumac Street on Dec. 17 and determined his death was a homicide.

Devin Morningstar was charged with first-degree murder on Monday afternoon. He was remanded into custody until his next court appearance on Jan. 8.

All three suspects are also facing arson charges.

Shephard is described as 5 feet and 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 100 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. She has a tattoo with the name “Stephen” on her neck and a tattoo of a heart on her chest.

Noel is described as 5 feet and 8 inches tall with a medium build, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He has tattoos on his right arm featuring the words “mom”, “dad” and “Mary” as well as a skull.

Police are asking anyone with information on the fire to contact Codiac Regional RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
