The Sky Tower attraction at SeaWorld Orlando was slowly lowered to the ground after it malfunctioned Monday afternoon trapping dozens of passengers in mid-air.
SeaWorld confirmed that Sky Tower ride had gotten stuck and passengers were stranded for roughly two hours while crews worked to rescue them.

“We are working closely with Orange County Fire Rescue to quickly and safely remove all guests from the ride,” read a statement from SeaWorld. “ We are in constant communication with the guests and team members on the ride, and all passengers are safe.”
Broadcast images showed several people inside the ride waving.
The Sky Tower is just over 120-metres and opened in 1973. It features a double-decker, rotating pod that guests board at ground level and take a leisurely ride to the top.
