Police said there was a dispute between the two men, and the man with the sword confronted the other man, 37, who then pulled out a knife.

Officers found the victim, the man with the knife, at the QEII Health Sciences Centre with a “small laceration to his upper body and a large laceration to his wrist,” the news release read. He has since been released.

The man who had the sword is in custody and facing several weapons offences including aggravated assault. His court appearance is set for Monday.
