REGINA – Souls Harbour Rescue Mission staff are preparing for their annual Christmas Celebration on Dec. 23, but they need help with supplies.
They anticipate 350 people in need will be coming for the traditional Christmas dinner.
Items the Mission needs include 38 heads of lettuce, 41 dozen buns, Caesar dressing, stuffing and gravy mix, pickles, 23 large apple pies, coffee creamer, sugar, Mandarin oranges, candy canes, orange juice, and 42-dozen individual packages of butter or margarine.
They are also looking for donations of new, unwrapped toys to give to the children who attend the dinner.
“For some of the families, it’s their main Christmas dinner or their only Christmas dinner, because their resources are so tight they depend on us,” said Souls Harbour Marketing Manager Patty Humphreys.
Donations can be dropped off at their soup kitchen at 1836 Halifax Street.
