Sad ending to story of rescued puppy missing a paw

A sad ending to the story of Solo, a four month of Shepard cross who underwent amputation surgery and did not survive.


WINNIPEG —  Some sad news from a local animal shelter, a three pawed puppy has died after undergoing surgery.

On December 7th, Global News told you the story about Solo, a four month old Shepard cross who was missing a paw.

Solo was brought in to Manitoba Underdog Rescue this past fall.   She was found on the side of the road, malnourished with an infected, cut off front paw.

The puppy underwent a much-needed leg amputation surgery Tuesday, but did not survive.

Tuesday evening, the animal shelter posted on its Facebook page, that the “underdogs” team is heartbroken.  To read the full article on the Manitoba Underdogs Rescue Facebook page click here.
