MONTREAL – An Air France flight from San Francisco to Paris was diverted to Montreal after an anonymous threat.
In a series of tweets, the airline stated Air France Flight 83 landed just before midnight at Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport “as a precaution.”
All 231 passengers and 15 crew members were taken off the plane and put in parked buses.
They were run through a security screening before being put back on the plane around 4:30 a.m.
Last month, two Paris-bound Air France flights from the U.S. were diverted because of bomb threats, with one jet making an emergency landing in Halifax.
France remains in a state of emergency since suicide bombings and shootings in Paris on Nov. 13 killed 130 people.
RAW VIDEO: Passengers could be seen boarding the aircraft early Tuesday morning.
