Arrests made in Carlyle break and enter investigation

REGINA – Four men have been arrested in connection with a string of thefts in Carlyle, Sask.

On Nov. 30, Carlyle RCMP started investigating numerous break and enters and thefts from garages, sheds and vehicles. A number of items were stolen, including a restricted firearm.

On Dec. 3, Mounties, with help from RCMP Police Dog Services and Carlyle RCMP Traffic Services, executed a search warrant at a residence on White Bear First Nation, 13 kilometres north of Carlyle.

A 51-year-old man, a 43-year-old man, a 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were arrested at the residence.

Another 18-year-old man was arrested at a nearby residence in relation to the investigation. Various items were seized, including restricted firearm and another firearm.

Charges are pending against all five, and there were also additional outstanding charges at the time of the search, such as failures to comply with release conditions.
