There is a definite buzz in Winnipeg as we get closer to Grey Cup Sunday.
We’re starting to see fans showing off their team colours, and it’s a never-ending parade of passionate supporters streaming through Winnipeg’s international airport.
Shortly after arriving, we went over to Investors Group Field where the Eskimos took to the field for their first practice of the week.
The players seemed pretty excited and loose as they tossed the ball around in the opening few minutes of practice, despite a cool winter breeze flowing through the stadium.
Global Edmonton’s Kevin Karius caught up with a few players after practice and there’s no doubt there’s a feeling of confidence within the Green and Gold locker room.

And how about Investors Group Field; it’s easy to see why it’s one of the elite stadiums in the Canadian Football League.
It has a unique design and you can only imagine the atmosphere come Sunday night when the Grey Cup kicks off.
While we were busy at Eskimos practice, Global Edmonton’s Fletcher Kent was down at the Manitoba Legislature where the Grey Cup arrived via helicopter in a special ceremony.

The party is expected to heat up on Thursday, as fans will flock to Grey Cup staples like the Spirit of Edmonton room and Riderville.
