UPDATE: TransLink says Expo and Millennium lines will be running near full service levels this morning. Trains will be added as they become available.
SkyTrain passengers faced major delays on Expo and Millennium lines Tuesday.
Anne Drennan with TransLink said an electrical problem at Stadium and Main Street stations caused delays during the afternoon rush hour. Full service was restored, eight hours later, around 11:30 p.m.
Train service was not running from Waterfront to Broadway stations eastbound and westbound on both Expo and Millennium lines. The Expo line ran between Broadway station east to King George while the Millennium line ran from VCC-Clark to Columbia and back.

The Canada Line ran as normal.
TransLink acting CEO Cathy McLay apologized for the delay.
“We have all our available maintenance staff on our SkyTrain system out trying to find what the root cause to the condition is,” said McLay.
“We’re trying to isolate the problem and try to get the trains up and running to get people home to their loved ones as soon as possible.”
